In 2013 the Armenian Missionary Association of America in collaboration with the Naregatsi Art Institute organized a number of charity concerts. The Naregatsi Folk Instruments Ensemble under the artistic leadership of the RA Honored Art Worker, tar player Hovik Sahakyan took part in the concerts.
The concerts are mainly aimed to support the Syrian-Armenians, as well as to provide some assistance to the needy families in the border villages.
In July the Armenian Missionary Association donated winter shoes and the Children's Bible to the residents and especially children in Aygepar, Chinari, Nerkin Karmiraghpyur villages of the Tavush Region.
This mission was accompanied by the concerts featuring the Naregatsi Art Institute's Naregatsi Folk Instruments Ensemble.
