Within the framework of the "Spreading Armenian Culture" program, St. Gregory of Narek Church in Vanadzor hosted the concert of Nova Folk Instruments Ensemble (Artistic Director: RA Honorary Worker of Culture Hovik Sahakyan), during which violinist, conductor, RA Honorary Worker of Culture, NAI Artistic Advisor Daniel Yerazhisht along with Anahit Hakobyan's recitation, commented on the presented works, conveying his valuable and interesting thoughts to the audience.
The founder of Naregatsi Art Institute Nareg Hartounian made an opening speech at the event.
-It is very meaningful and mysterious to be in the temple of God, which is named after St. Gregory of Narek. In all our activities, the Lord sends us spiritual shepherds who give their blessings to our works. It is a great honor for us that Archbishop Sebouh Chouldjian, the Primate of the Diocese of Gougark, is also here today.
Archbishop Sebouh Chouldjian addressed his blessing to those present.
-Unfortunately, today our youth has lost contact with the past, its origins, and you have a great responsibility on your shoulders to restore that connection. Thanks also to Daniel Yerazhisht, who is known for being a preacher of pure music, and of course, our gratitude to beautiful Armenian woman Anahit Hakobyan and NAI founder Nareg Hartounian- said Archbishop Sebouh Chouldjian.
Vahan Azaryan, pastor of St. Gregory of Narek Church of the Diocese of Gougark, and Vardan Dolmajyan, head of Vanadzor Komitas Art School, also expressed their gratitude to the Naregatsi Art Institute and for the event in Vanadzor and valuable master class.
After the event, the musicians of the Nova Folk Music Ensemble received an exclusive invitation from Lena Antaranyan, director of the Stepan Zoryan House-Museum, to be present at the house of the great writer. The staff of Naregatsi Art Institute and the musicians of the Nova Folk Ensemble were delighted with the warm welcome of the house-museum, bringing with them new and interesting information about Stepan Zoryan's life.
The program "Spreading Armenian Culture" is aimed to educate the public through melodies, lyricism, spiritual music, folk dances, to get acquainted with Armenian culture and art.
