On February 13th, the Artsakh State Choir gave a concert at the Naregatsi Art Institute in Shoushi.
The Choir was founded in 1990 by the artistic director and conductor Nina Grigoryan. The Choir's repertoire consists of choral compositions by Western European and Russian composers. The concert at NAI featured the works by Komitas, Babajanyan and Tigranyan.
The audience composed of different age groups: preschool, school children, young and elderly people, had another beautiful evening. We would not be mistaken to say that the Choir during its years of operation has greatly contributed to the spread of classical music and choir art among the Armenians of Artsakh. That mission was in Shoushi today, the capital of the arts and crafts. A great step in the cultural upbringing of Shoushi children was made due to the cooperation of the Naregatsi Art Institute with the Choir.
Mrs. Grigoryan was pleased to accept the invitation to perform at our place and we said goodbye to each other looking forward to future cooperation.
