On July 12, 2010, the “Aram Manoukian" Children’s Summer Camp opened once again, for the sixth consecutive year, in Artsakh, at the community and cultural center of the Naregatsi Art Institute of the mythical City of Shoushi.

Aida and Haytoug Shamlian, from Canada, are the initiators, planners and patrons of the project at hand, which is held on the premises of the NAI Center of Shoushi and implemented with the active collaboration and devoted participation of the dynamic staff and managing director of said Center. Several helpers and volunteers also contribute to the work.

The Summer Camp is of course free of any charge for the attending children, and it is financed by Aida and Haytoug Shamlian, a number of their friends and family members, and Nareg Haroutounian, founder of the Naregatsi Art Institute.

Let the laughter of joyful children fill once again the skies of the free and proud Artsakh, and resonate as the echo of hope and determination within the still lingering ruins of the glorious City of Shoushi.
