Naregatsi Art Institute’s April 24th annual event “Commemoration through the spirit of art”, dedicated to the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide, this year was mysterious and bright, full of hope, love and the spirit of art.

The prayer made by Ter Nishan Priest and his speech about love, patriotism, faith and hope filled the hearts of those present... Speaking about the light, the priest litting the candle in his hand hoped to fill with light the souls of all the people. Later they lit the candles on the stage and the ones delivered to the singers and the audience.

There were no words to describe the impression of the audience after the performance of the world-famous violinist Nikolay Madoian...

It was followed by the presentation of the new video by Naregatsi Art Institute, featuring Naregatsi Orchestra’s new work, Komitas' "Krunk" in new arrangement. It is arranged by composer, tar player, RA Honored Artist, Naregatsi Orchestra Artistic Director Artem Khachatur, and is in memory of the Armenian Genocide innocent victims.

At the end of the event they unveiled the exhibition “Petrified Time” showcasing Hayk Melkonyan’s exclusive photos. Photos, in which the stones talk about our country ...and where the photographer has captured more, than we, as ordinary passerby’s can see.

Naregatsi Art Institute Art Director Lilit Bekchyan expressed her gratitude to the participants for their good work and active collaboration: kamanchist Jacob Khalatyan, soloist Sofya Baghdasaryan and Nikolay Madoian; "Paros" Choir, Artistic director Manuel Ohanyan, Naregatsi Orchestra, art director Artem Khachatur, Narek Choir, artistic director Narine Davtyan, Nova Children's Ensemble, Artistic director, Honored Worker of Culture Hovik Sahakyan.

"The event was very diverse, varied and well organized, and the revelation of the event was "Chaconne", one of the masterpieces of Bach, which was virtuously performed by Nikolay Madoian.

When at the opening of an Italian bank in Moscow Italian violinist Salvatore Accardo, winner of the Paganini Competition, performed Bach's "Chaconne", the manager of the bank said, that if such a work was performed at an event, the establishment will become more prosperous. I would add John Gardiner's remark, "Listening to Bach's music you hear "the voice of God"," said Daniel Yerazhisht, RA Honored Art Worker.
