Serj Tankian, Atom Egoyan and Eric Nazarian visited Naregatsi Art Institute

Naregatsi Art Institute had the honor to host renowned vocalist of System of a Down band Serj Tankian, Canadian Armenian film director Atom Egoyan and American Armenian film director Eric Nazarian, who were there to hear the Naregatsi Orchestra.
In 2016 the young musicians led by Artistic Director Artem Khachatur, as a Tribute to Serj Tankian and the SOAD members, prepared the latter’s rendition of Aerials arranged for folk instruments. It aroused great interest and by reason of which the rock musician willingly accepted Naregatsi Art Institute founder Nareg Hartounian’s invitation and on his visit to Armenia came to listen to them.
During the fabulous and exciting meeting the Orchestra performed folk song "New Uzundara" arranged by Artem Khachatur and Aram Khachaturian's "Highlanders’ Dance".
