Concert on the 20th Anniversary of the foundation of the Spiritual Guidance of the RA Armed Forces

On December 8th, the Sundukyan National Academic Theater was the host to an important event highlighting the strong ties between the Armenian Army and the Armenian Apostolic Church. The 20th anniversary of the foundation of the Spiritual Guidance of the Armed Forces was marked here in festive mood.

Before the event in the theater lobby the attendees had an opportunity to get acquainted with the exhibition entitled "Church-Army" showcasing the art works of the creating soldiers. In attendance at the opening ceremony were His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, RA Minister of Defense Vigen Sargsyan, Chief of Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Movses Hakobyan and the spiritual leader of the Armenian Army Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan.

Then the festive concert featured the performance of the Naregatsi Art Institute Naregatsi Folk Instruments Orchestra (Artistic director, composer, tar player, Honored Artist of the RA Artem Khachatur) and the Njdeh Folk Dance Group (Artistic Director: folk dancer, folklorist, writer, culturologist, the RA Distinguished Artist Gagik Ginosyan).
