In 2016 Naregatsi Art Institute Shoushi Center founded a Puppet theater led by Hayk Papyan. Artak Poghosyan is the designer of the puppets.

In 1995, Artak Poghosyan moved from the Martuni region to Shoushi and studied in the College of Applied Art.
He is currently teaching woodcarving at Arsen Khachatryan Humanitarian College in Shoushi.
