Jubilee Concert at NAI

On October 13th, at 7:00 PM, Naregatsi Art Institute will host a jubilee concert dedicated to the 80th anniversary of qanun player, composer, and educator Vazganush Parmin.
During the concert, Vazganush Parmin's original works will be performed by young musicians.
Vazganush Parmin (Parunakyan-Minasyan) was born in 1946 in Gyumri.
Without any musical education, at the age of 15 she was admitted to the qanun class of the Kara-Murza Music College in Gyumri (teacher: Tamara Margaryan). From 1971 to 1975, she studied at the theoretical department of the same college. In 1983 and 1986, she took training courses with composer Khachatur Avetisyan.
Vazganush Parmin is the author of several books; she has composed etudes, pieces, and preludes for folk instruments. Her works have been performed at various educational institutions and concert halls in Armenia.
In 2002, the Composers' Union of Armenia published her book "Works for Qanun".
