Nova Folk Instruments Ensemble
The Naregatsi Art Institute founded the Nova Folk Instruments Ensemble in September 2015 under the artistic supervision of the RA Honorary Artist of Culture Hovik Sahakyan.
The ensemble consists of 27 instrumentalists and 1 vocalist (Conductor, Helbert Asatryan).
The Naregatsi Art Institute is dedicated to serving the spirit of art by maintaining the purity of the culture, where the Nova Folk Instruments Ensemble has its contribution.
On October 31st, 2016 The Nova Folk Instruments Ensemble (Artistic Director Hovik Sahakyan) of the Naregatsi Art Institute had their active participation in the first Contest-Festival of Folk Instruments Ensembles dedicated to 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia and was awarded the first prize.
In 2018 Nova Folk Instruments Ensemble participated in the Happy Planet International festival held in Tsaghkadzor and was awarded the first honorary prize. The "Nova" Ensemble also had a concert program in the city of Gavar within the scope of the "Cultural Stop" event organized by the RA Ministry of Culture. Under the NAI sponsorship the Ensemble had a number of educational and charitable concerts in musical schools of different regions of Armenia.
On June 13th, 2018 Nova Folk Instruments Ensemble presented a concert in Komitas Chamber Music Hall dedicated to the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan foundation. Their performance was highly appreciated by professionals.
On November 21st, 2018 The Nova Folk Instruments Ensemble participated in the Contest-Festival of Folk Instruments Ensembles at Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall dedicated to 27th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia and was awarded the second prize.
In October, 2019 The Nova Folk Instruments Ensemble had joint concerts with violinist, conductor, Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Armenia Daniel Yerazhisht in Gyumri, Vanadzor and Yerevan within the framework of the "Spreading Armenian Culture" program implemented under the support of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
