A Handful of Songs from the Mndzur Mountains

In 2022 Naregatsi Art Institute released the Nubar Folk Ensemble's CD-album "A Handful of Songs from the Mndzur Mountains".

This edition of the Naregatsi Art Institute consists of the creative biography of the Nubar Ensemble, the Ensemble Director Lusine Nazaryan’s introductory speech, which includes the sources of the songs, their meaningful notes, comments, as well as the poetic texts of the songs and the CD.

Nubar's repertoire includes songs and dances from Akn, Balu, Tigranakert, Dersim, Chmshkatsag, and other regions of Western Armenia. Some of them are taken from the collections of Komitas, his student Mihran Tumachan, Hovhannes Achemyan, Avetis Mesuments and others.
