Hand-in-hand with Children with Disabilities

"New Star" NGO, which is comprised of parents of children with disabilities, had initiated "Hand-in-hand with children with disabilities" event at Naregatsi Art Institute.
As mentioned by the president of "New Star" NGO, Nora Karapetyan, this was a launching event dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the NGO.
"New star" was founded in 1998. The NGO deals with problems of children with limited abilities. It aims to make them full members of society and foster their integration by means of cultural events and groups.
The organization has a number of groups, such as handwork and sewing, painting and puppet theater groups, which enable children to develop their creative abilities.
At NAI, children had the opportunity to present their hand-made works, which are made of rice, wheat, egg, as well as crochet, pottery, painting works, etc.
The children also performed "Puy-puy mknik” puppet performance.
"We turned into kids here today ... if the kid dies in us, so do we too. Our children are the best depictions of kindness ..."said Nareg Hartounian, the founding director of Naregatsi Art Institute, presenting them NAI symbolic gifts.
