Dispelling the mist of obscurity: who was Toros Roslin, actually?
Naregatsi Art Institute invites you to the presentation of Nana Voskanyan's book "Dispelling the Mist of Obscurity" to discover Toros Roslin and his era.
Who was the man whose miniatures continue to amaze the world even centuries later?
What was happening in Cilician Armenia when Toros Roslin was creating his masterpieces?
How did Cilicia withstand the clashes of political and religious interests of the Mamluks, Seljuks, Tatar-Mongols, Crusaders, and great powers...And at the center of it all—Cilicia and its struggle for survival.
Nana Voskanyan's new novel was born from years of research on these topics and analysis of historical facts and gives us the opportunity to uncover the secrets of the intertwined destinies of Roslin and Cilicia.
Nana Voskanyan is the author of the short story collection "With Us," the novels "The Master, the Pen, the Flower," and "Yervandunik."
