Kevork Hadjian: Firstling Inspired by Gomidas

Kevork Hadjian was born in 1971 in Ainjar (Lebanon), of Mousa Ler descent. He got his primary education in "Harach" and "Calouste Gulbenkian" national colleges of Ainjar. In 1984 he was accepted to "Zarehian" Seminary of the Catholicosate of Cilicia. In 1989 was consecrated into Senior Deacon and in 1992 was awarded the Diploma of the Seminary. He conducted the children's choir of "Harach" college, was the solo singer of "Shnorhali", "Kousan", "Gomidas" choirs, "Fayha" choir of Tripoli (Lebanon) and other choirs. He has had concerts in Lebanon, Syria, Bulgaria, Kuwait, Armenia, Artsakh, Cyprus and other places.

By financial support of the Naregatsi Art Institute in 2008 he recorded his first CD, titled "Firstling Inspired by Gomidas", which includes 19 songs by Komitas under Levon Javadian's piano accompaniment.
