Charity concert in the Armenian Missionary Association Yerevan Center

On May 18th, 2013, the Armenian Missionary Association of America in collaboration with the Naregatsi Art Institute organized a charity concert in the Armenian Missionary Association Yerevan Center. The concert featured the Naregatsi Folk Instruments Ensemble under the artistic leadership of RA Honored Art Worker, tar player Hovik Sahakyan. In attendance at the concert were numerous guests, Syrian-Armenians, representatives of non-governmental organizations, officers and employees of the Armenian Evangelical Church and the Armenian Missionary Association of America.

The event began with the screening of the documentary film on the current state of the Syrian-Armenians shot by the Armenian Missionary Association.

The Naregatsi Folk Instruments Ensemble fascinated the audience with the performance of the folk works during the concert program.

Harout Nercessian, AMAA Armenia Representative, expressed gratitude to those present for responding to the call of the Armenian Missionary Association in support of the Syrian-Armenians. Lena Halajian, President of the ''Center for Coordination of Syrian-Armenians' Issues'' NGO, had a speech expressing her gratitude. At the end of the concert, all the attendees had their contributions in support of the Syrian-Armenians.

In June and August in cooperation with the employees of the social divisions of Arabkir, Kentron and Kanaker Zeytun administrative districts, the Armenian Missionary Association organized assistance (food and clothing) to Syrian-Armenian families, who are in difficult situation.
