Naregatsi Art Institute in collaboration with the RA Ministry of Diaspora hosted a meeting-lecture with Haroutiun Vartabed Bezdikian, a member of the Mekhitarist Congregation, director of the Samuel Mouradian College of Sevre and Cultural Center.
The topic of the lecture dedicated to Francophonie was "Napoleon Bonaparte's connection with the Mekhitarist Congregation", during which Vartabed presented letters, which were written to Bonaparte by French intellectuals.
- The intellectuals in their letters point out the importance of the congregation and the reasons for not closing it. These letters are kept in the archives, - said Vartabed in his speech.
Note that Haroutiun Bezdikian, who is bearing art in himself, also paints. He was born in Beirut.
As an artist he has had numerous exhibitions in Europe: Rome, Paris, Geneva, Lyon and other major cities, and the first exhibition was held in Venice.
The award winning Mr. Bezdikian is also a member of the RA Union of Artists and Writers.
