Meeting-lecture

2018-10-15 19:00 | Naregatsi Art Institute

Naregatsi Art Institute in collaboration with the RA Ministry of Diaspora hosted a meeting-lecture with Haroutiun Vartabed Bezdikian, a member of the Mekhitarist Congregation, director of the Samuel Mouradian College of Sevre and Cultural Center.

The topic of the lecture dedicated to Francophonie is "The connection of French Armenologists with the Mekhitarist Congregation from 1700", during which the lecturer presented the lecture in French and then in Armenian.

- Luis XIV was looking for intelligent people and he sent his vassals to Armenian churches to bring Armenian monks to him. This is evidenced by the 600 manuscripts, which are kept in the archives, said Vartabed in his speech.

Note that Haroutiun Bezdikian, who is bearing art in himself, also paints. He was born in Beirut.

As an artist he has had numerous exhibitions in Europe: Rome, Paris, Geneva, Lyon and other major cities. His first exhibition was held in Venice.

The award winning Mr. Bezdikian is also a member of the RA Union of Artists and Writers.
