Commemorating Holy Saturday

Soprano Lusine Azaryan and pianist Armen Aghajanyan performed Armenian lullaby songs in commemoration of Holy Saturday, which was elucidated by Father Vahram Melikyan.Each year, an extensive range of festive concerts, exhibitions, and film screenings are organized by Naregatsi Art Institute in commemoration of the last week of Lent from Holy Monday to Holy Saturday (April 14 to April 19).Holy Saturday marks the Glorious Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. On the eve, a solemn Candlelight Divine Liturgy is celebrated. The curtains of the altars are opened in all the churches and an evening Divine Liturgy is organized, at the end of which the good tiding of the glorious resurrection of the Saviour is proclaimed. In the next 50 days, Christians greet each other with Christ is Risen from the dead and get the response Blessed be the Resurrection of Christ!
