Shushi in the world of magical reality| Presentation of Haytoug Shamlian’s “SH” Book
The presentation of Haytoug Shamlian’s “SH” book was held at the Naregatsi Art Institute, which was also attended by favorite poet Razmik Davoyan, who in his speech said that he had met Haytoug in Shushi six years before.
"When he said his name, I thought it’s a profession, but then realized that it was his title. This book is a poem, from beginning to end, there are poetic images, it was written like a soldier, spiritual and physical soldier," said Davoyan considering very impressive the work done by Shamlian in Shushi.
Davoyan stressed that the most precious thing inside the human being is patriotism; it can make you cry at any moment.
Naregatsi Art Institute founder Nareg Hartounian mentioned that he had offered Haytoug to publish the book in Yerevan, but Haytoug had insisted that the book had to be born on the land of Artsakh.
“Every year starting from 2004 Haytoug comes to Shushi with his family bringing love and giving it to children of Shushi. His goal is to serve his countrymen in Shushi, "said Hartounian, stressing that" SH" is a source of endless interpretations for him: "talented Shamlian with clatters and snaps…”
As Hartounian mentioned, Haytoug’s thoughts are sincere, kind and full of love. Shushi has called Haytoug Shamlian to come and serve Shushi, along with its exceptional people.
“The liberation of Shushi is the start of the struggle for Armenians, due to which the nation will come to unity, however, they have to work and sweat for it constantly "said Haytoug Shamlian, stressing that they should continue working, believing in our nation's growth and without any doubt about the victory.
Writer Sago Arean highlighted the fact that the poems are in Western Armenian, considering it as a message of the day, as one of nowadays top priority is the preservation of Western Armenian.
The greatest challenge for Shamlian is the creation of proper life conditions in Shushi and I hope that his writing should be studied in the future, "said Arean, adding that they had traveled in Shushi thanks to Shamlian’s eyes and had a great spiritual contentment.
During the event singer Anahit Hakobyan recited Shamlian’s poems “Promise” and “Saric Sar” (From mountain to mountain), which were very exciting and they conquered the hearts of the audience.
Naregatsi Folk Instruments Ensemble kanon player Anna Manaseryan performed some works.
The book is the second co-production with Naregatsi Art Institute Shushi centre.
Haytoug Shamlian tries to show this beautiful city within its bright reality. The book provides an opportunity to recognize Shushi from inside through its magical charm, without focusing on its problems and difficulties.
Haytoug is a lawyer and publicist. He has published 3 books, two of which are collections of poems, and one of them was published in Stepanakert. Haytoug and his wife Aida visited Artsakh in 2004 and both fell in love with the wonderful land. The Aram Manoukian camp was founded in Shushi on the initiative of Aida Shamlian. The number of children who participated in that camp is increasing year by year reaching over 400. The vision of the camp has been and continues to be "One Nation, One Homeland, One People, and One Country”.
