2020-02-08 11:00 | Naregatsi Art Institute

On February 8th, the Naregatsi Art Institute announced the launch of the Project “Interconnecting Through Culture” being implemented thanks to the cooperation with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
Human rights activist and musician Zaruhi Hovhannisyan, combining art and law under the heading "Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms from Ancient Times to Our Days", presented the process of developing universal ideas and legal approaches from ancient times to our day. Through painting, music, and literature she presented how humanity fought for its rights and freedoms.
As one of the young participants mentioned: “I've participated in many trainings and lectures on human rights, but this is the first time I have encountered such an approach when art is combined with human rights. Indeed, I am very impressed and I believe that such an approach makes the understanding of universal values and human rights and freedoms more accessible and complete. I look forward to the next lecture.''
"The Karabakh Fairy Tale" film was screened at the end of the lecture. It tells about the phenomenon of the Vank village of Karabakh, whose inhabitants, according to sociological surveys, are the happiest people. The screening was followed by a discussion.
