Online Meeting with ArmAuthor NGO General Director Susanna Nersisyan

On May 30th, at 11:00 am Naregatsi Art Institute organized the recurrent event of the Project “Interconnecting through Culture” via the Zoom Online Meeting Platform (Meeting ID: 815 4158 8160) being implemented thanks to the cooperation with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

Under the title "Intellectual Property. Copywright and Related Rights" the participants had a meeting with Susanna Nersisyan, ArmAuthor NGo General Director.

During the lecture Susanna Nersisyan spoke about the intellectual property, the origin of the authors' rights to works in the fields of science, literature and art, and the importance of protection, as well as she referred to the law of the Republic of Armenia "On Copyright and the Related Rights" and the application of that law.

The meeting also touched upon the related rights, which are significantly similar to copyright, but to some extent inferior in terms of volume.The performers of the piece of work (song, dance, staging, recitation and other means of performance) have related rights to the performance, the publisher of the work has the right in relation to the publishing designs, etc.

At the end of the meeting Susanna Nersisyan answered the questions of the participants.
