«Սասնա ծռեր» էպոսը դպրոցականների համար

Naregatsi Art Institute hosted the lecture entitled "Sasna Tsrer"(Daredevils of Sassoun).
In attendance at the lecture were the students from Yerevan schools No. 12, 119, and 174. Poet and journalist Tigran Nikoghosyan welcomed them and spoke about the significance, history, and core message of the “Sasna Tsrer” epic.

He emphasized that the epic is not merely a work recounting our people's past, but also a vital expression of our identity and value system. According to him, the epic is about us; even today, each of us can see ourselves reflected in its various characters—in their struggles, values, ideas, and even their missteps.

During the meeting, Samvel Baghinyan, founder of the Suren Kocharyan Poetry Theater, reciter, and the RA Honored Artist, presented the poem “David of Sassoun” as adapted by Hovhannes Tumanyan, introducing the students to the heroic world of the Armenian national epic in a new way.

The lecture was organized as part of the month-long program dedicated to celebrating the "Sasna Tsrer" epic.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia has declared the 2026–2027 academic year the "Year of Reading."

Within the framework of this initiative, each month is dedicated to a significant theme in Armenian literature and culture, and the national epic "Sasna Tsrer" is selected for September.
